I grew up on a farm near Rochester, Alberta. I went to Rochester School until grade 9, joining every school team possible (even figure skating for a year). I graduated from EPC in Athabasca and took education at Grant MacEwan and the U of A. While going to school I worked as a lifeguard at such pools as Mill Creek Outdoor Pool (Edmonton), WEM Waterpark, Fort Good Hope (in the Arctic Circle), and Miette Hot Springs (Jasper). I also took many odd jobs such as slashing (clearing trails with a chainsaw), garbage man (for one day), bee keeper assistant, caterer, and public speaker.
I love working at Westlock Elementary and all the opportunities that come with it. I love math, especially practical applications for it. I also love language arts and have written many poems that I am proud of. Although I am not naturally artistic, I love painting sidewalks and faces in my free time.
I also love just about any sport. I play in a volleyball league and help organize a men's soccer league. I have also played basketball, golf, and squash. I also teach music to my own children. Violin, guitar and piano are the instruments they are currently learning. Being someone who is always ready to learn new things, I look forward to my days ahead at Westlock Elementary.
