Amy Chattargoon

I grew up in Barrhead with my parents and 2 siblings. I graduated high school in 1995 and headed off to post secondary education.  I graduated from the University of Alberta in 2000 with a Bachelor of Education Degree with a major in Elementary Education and minor in Early Childhood. During this time I met my husband, Daryl.  I accepted my first teaching position after graduation in High Prairie.  I taught at St. Andrew’s School for two years.  After the two years I left High Prairie and headed to Westlock. I was married in the summer of 2002. Since my husband was already teaching at Dapp School, I started subbing for Pembina Hills. In October, 2002 I was fortunate to get a teaching position at WES. I have now been at WES for sixteen years and am currently teaching grade one.

My greatest accomplishment in my life is my family. My son, Riley is ten years old and my daughter, Alyssa is six years old.  They both bring so much joy to my life.  I love being a mom and enjoy spending time with my family.

I truly love my job and get such satisfaction from teaching.  I look forward to another exciting year in grade one working with your children!  Westlock Elementary School is a great place to be!
