I was born and raised in NF and then moved to NS where I received a BA at Acadia University. In NS, I worked with youth at two residential settings and received a certificate in child care from the NS Dept of Community Services. After moving to Alberta, with my family, I began working in schools as a program assistant and have continued that in each of the three Alberta towns in which we have lived. I worked towards and received a teacher assistant certificate, while in St Paul. While checking out Westlock Elementary school for my own child, it was obvious that this was the school for my child, as well as myself. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the wonderful atmosphere at WES, that is created by the students, staff and administration.
