My name is Kylie Cartwright, and I am thrilled to begin my second school year at Westlock Elementary school. I am a sixth grade homeroom teacher, who will be teaching language arts, mathematics, social studies, and art. I completed my advanced teaching practicum in grade three at Westlock Elementary, from February 18 to April 26 2013. After graduating from the University of Alberta with a minor in special needs, I subbed in the pembina hills school division for the remainder of the year. I grew up on an acreage outside the community of Busby, attended the close-knit rural school, and transferred to R.F. Staples. A couple hobbies include travelling, baking, and crocheting. I enjoy athletic activities including hiking, and running. Recently, I raced in my first five kilometer race and plan to run my first ten kilometer before the end of the school year. Aside from classroom responsibilties I will be coaching basketball and assisting with noon hour intermurals. I am eager and enthusiastic to start the school year at WES. Let's go Foxes, let's go, woot woot!!!
